You only pass this way once...

I've never seen so much beauty contained in one e-mail before.

Pass this on to put a smile on someone's face...

Bank Account

A 92-year-old, petite, well-poised and proud man, who is fully dressed each

morning by eight o'clock, with his hair fashionably coifed and shaved

perfectly, even though he is legally blind, moved to a nursing home today.

His wife of 70 years recently passed away, making the move necessary. After

many hours of waiting patiently in the lobby of the nursing home, he smiled

sweetly when told his room was ready.

As he maneuvered his walker to the elevator, I provided a visual description

of his tiny room, including the eyelet sheets that had been hung on his

window.

"I love it," he stated with the enthusiasm of an eight-year-old having just

been presented with a new puppy.

"Mr. Jones, you haven't seen the room; just wait."

"That doesn't have anything to do with it," he replied.

"Happiness is something you decide on ahead of time. Whether I like my room

or not doesn't depend on how the furniture is arranged ... it's how I

arrange my mind. I already decided to love it. "It's a decision I make every

morning when I wake up. I have a choice; I can spend the day in bed

recounting the difficulty I have with the parts of my body that no longer

work, or get out of bed and be thankful for the ones that do.

Each day is a gift, and as long as my eyes open, I'll focus on the new day

and all the happy memories I've stored away. Just for this time in my life.

Old age is like a bank account. You withdraw from what you've put in.

So, my advice to you would be to deposit a lot of happiness in the bank

account of memories! Thank you for your part in filling my Memory bank. I am

still depositing." Remember the five simple rules to be happy:

1. Free your heart from hatred.

2. Free your mind from worries.

3 Live simply.

4.. Give more.

5. Expect less.

Pass this message to 7 people except me.. You will receive a miracle

tomorrow.

Now, STOP! Did you hear what I just said. You WILL receive a miracle

tomorrow. So send it right now

36 CHRISTIAN WAYS TO REDUCE STRESS

An Angel says, "Never borrow from the future. If you worry about what may happen tomorrow and it doesn't happen, you have worried in vain. Even if it does happen, you have to worry twice."

1. Pray

2. Go to bed on time.

3. Get up on time so you can start the day unrushed.

4. Say No to projects that won't fit into your time schedule, or that will compromise your mental health.

5. Delegate tasks to capable others.

6. Simplify and unclutter your life.

7. Less is more. (Although one is often not enough, two are often too many.)

8. Allow extra time to do things and to get to places.

9. Pace yourself. Spread out big changes and difficult projects over time; don't lump the hard things all together.

10. Take one day at a time.

11. Separate worries from concerns . If a situation is a concern, find out what God would have you do and let go of the anxiety . If you can't do anything about a situation, forget it .

12. Live within your budget; don't use credit cards for ordinary purchases.

13. Have backups; an extra car key in your wallet, an extra house key buried in the garden, extra stamps, etc.

14. K.M.S. (Keep Mouth Shut). This single piece of advice can prevent an enormous amount of trouble.

15. Do something for the Kid in You everyday.

16. Carry a Bible with you to read while waiting in line.

17. Get enough rest.

18. Eat right.

19. Get organized so everything has its place.

20. Listen to a tape while driving that can help improve your quality of life.

21. Write down thoughts and inspirations.

22. Every day, find time to be alone.

23. Having problems? Talk to God on the spot. Try to nip small problems in the bud. Don't wait until it's time to go to bed to try and pray.

24. Make friends with Godly people.

25. Keep a folder of favorite scriptures on hand.

26. Remember that the shortest bridge between despair and hope is often a good "Thank you Jesus."

27. Laugh.

28. Laugh some more!

29. Take your work seriously, but not yourself at all.

30. Develop a forgiving attitude (most people are doing the best they can).

31. Be kind to unkind people (they probably need it the most.)

32. Sit on your ego.

33. Talk less; listen more.

34. Slow down.

35. Remind yourself that you are not the general manager of the universe

36 . Every night before bed, think of one thing you're grateful for that you've never been grateful for before. GOD HAS A WAY OF TURNING THINGS AROUND FOR YOU. "If God is for us, who can be against us?" (Romans 8:31)

16 Rules I Try To Live By

I thought you might enjoy this.

I loved it.

Here are the 16 rules I try to live by:

1. Get and stay out of your comfort zone.

I believe that not much happens of any
significance when we're in our comfort
zone. I hear people say, "But I'm concerned
about security." My response to that is
simple: "Security is for cadavers."

2. Never give up.

Almost nothing works the first time it's
attempted. Just because what you're doing
does not seem to be working, doesn't mean
it won't work. It just means that it might
not work the way you're doing it. If it
was easy, everyone would be doing it, and
you wouldn't have an opportunity.

3. When you're ready to quit, you're closer than you think.

There's an old Chinese saying that I just
love, and I believe it is so true. It goes
like this: "The temptation to quit will
be greatest just before you are about to
succeed."

4. With regard to whatever worries you:

Not only accept the worst thing that
could happen, but make it a point to
quantify what the worst thing could be.
Very seldom will the worst consequence
be anywhere near as bad as a cloud of
"undefined consequences." My father
would tell me early on, when I was
struggling and losing my shirt trying
to get Parsons Technology going,
"Well, Robert, if it doesn't work,
they can't eat you."

5. Focus on what you want to have happen.

Remember that old saying, "As you think,
so shall you be."

6. Take things a day at a time.

No matter how difficult your situation is,
you can get through it if you don't look
too far into the future and focus on the
present moment. You can get through
anything one day at a time.

7. Always be moving forward.

Never stop investing. Never stop improving.
Never stop doing something new. The moment
you stop improving your organization, it
starts to die. Make it your goal to be
better each and every day, in some small
way. Remember the Japanese concept of
Kaizen. Small daily improvements eventually
result in huge advantages.

8. Be quick to decide.

Remember what General George S. Patton said:
"A good plan violently executed today is
far and away better than a perfect plan
tomorrow."

9. Measure everything of significance.

I swear this is true. Anything that is
measured and watched improves.

10. Anything that is not managed will deteriorate.

If you want to uncover problems you
don't know about, take a few moments
and look closely at the areas you
haven't examined for a while. I
guarantee you problems will be there.

11. Pay attention to your competitors.

But pay more attention to what you're
doing. When you look at your competitors,
remember that everything looks perfect
at a distance. Even the planet Earth,
if you get far enough into space, looks
like a peaceful place.

12. Never let anybody push you around.

In our society, with our laws and even
playing field, you have just as much
right to what you're doing as anyone
else, provided that what you're doing
is legal.

13. Never expect life to be fair.

Life isn't fair. You make your own breaks.
You'll be doing good if the only meaning
fair has to you is something that you pay
when you get on a bus (i.e., fare).

14. Solve your own problems.

You'll find that by coming up with your
own solutions, you'll develop a competitive
edge. Masura Ibuka, the co-founder of
Sony, said it best: "You never succeed
in technology, business, or anything by
following the others." There's also an
old Asian saying that I remind myself
of frequently. It goes like this: "A wise
man keeps his own counsel."

15. Don't take yourself too seriously.

Lighten up. Often, at least half of what
we accomplish is due to luck. None of us
are in control as much as we like to think
we are.

16. There's always a reason to smile.

Find it. After all, you're really lucky
just to be alive. Life is short. More and
more, I agree with my little brother. He
always reminds me: "We're not here for a
long time; we're here for a good time."

N.B.

Life, happiness and success are something
we all choose...or not.

Quote of the Day

"Be happy for the time we had, not the future we won't."

Dr. Phil's Test

Below is Dr. Phil's test . (Dr. Phil scored 55; he did this test on Oprah - she got a 38.) Some folks pay a lot of money to find this stuff out!

Read on, this is very interesting!

Don't be overly sensitive! The following is pretty accurate and it only takes 2 minutes. Take this test for yourself and send it to your friends.

The person who sent it placed her score in the e-mail subject box. Please do the same before forwarding to your friends (send it back to the person who sent it to you.) Don't peek, but begin the test as you scroll down and answer.

10. (a) 4 (b) 2 ( c) 3 (d) 5 (e) 6 (f) 1
Now add up the total number of points.

OVER 60 POINTS : Others see you as someone they should "handle with care." You're seen as vain, self-centered, and who is extremely dominant. Others may admire you, wishing they could be more like you, but don't always trust you, hesitating to become too deeply involved with you.

51 TO 60 POINTS : Others see you as an exciting, highly volatile, rather impulsive personality; a natural leader, who's quick to make decisions, though not always the right ones. They see you as bold and adventuresome, someone who will try anything once; someone who takes chances and enjoys an adventure. They enjoy being in your company because of the excitement you radiate.

41 TO 50 POINTS : Others see you as fresh, lively, charming, amusing, practical, and always interesting; someone who's constantly in the center of attention, but sufficiently well-balanced not to let it go to their head. They also see you as kind, considerate, and understanding; someone who'll always cheer them up and help them out.

31 TO 40 POINTS : Others see you as sensible, cautious, careful & practical. They see you as clever, gifted, or talented, but modest. Not a person who makes friends too quickly or easily, but someone who's extremely loyal to friends you do make and who expect the same loyalty in return. Those who really get to know you realize it takes a lot to shake your trust in your friends, but equally that it takes you a long time to get over if that trust is ever broken.

21 TO 30 POINTS: Your friends see you as painstaking and fussy. They see you as very cautious, extremely careful, a slow and steady plodder. It would really surprise them if you ever did something impulsively or on the spur of the moment, expecting you to examine everything carefully from every an gle and the n, usually decide against it. They think this reaction is caused partly by your careful nature.

UNDER 21 POINTS : People think you are shy, nervous, and indecisive, someone who needs looking after, who always wants someone else to make the decisions & who doesn't want to get involved with anyone or anything! They see you as a worrier who always sees problems that don't exist. Some peopl e think you' re boring. Only those who know you well know that you aren't.

Most people aren't sure of what they really want in life

I received this letter from a friend on the computer, did what it told
me to, and within a week, everything I had wished came true!!

Here's an exact copy, this really works!!!!

1. Say yourself, say the name of the only guy or girl you wanna be with 3 times !

2. Think of something you wanna accomplish within the next week and say it to your self 6 times!!

3 . If you had 1 wish what would it be? say it to yourself 9 times!!!

4 . Think of something that you want to happen between you and that 1
special person and say it to yourself 12 times!!!

5. Now, here's the hard part! pick only 1 of these wishes and as you
scroll down focus and concentrate on it and think on nothing else but
that wish & final wish about that one wish that you picked.

15 important reminders; 4 forgot to show up :)

5. Every night, SOMEONE thinks about you before they go to sleep.

6. You mean the world to someone.

7. If not for you, someone may not be living.

8. You are special and unique.

9. Someone that you don't even know exists loves you.

10. When you make the biggest mistake ever, something good comes from it.

11. When you think the world has turned its back on you, take a look: you most likely turned your back on the world.

12. When you think you have no chance of getting what you want, you probably won't get it, but if you believe in yourself,
probably, sooner or later, you will get it.

13. Always remember the compliments you received. Forget about the rude remarks.

14. Always tell someone how you feel about them; you will feel much better when they know.

15. If you have a great friend, take the time to let them know that they are great.

A Minute: They say it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them, but then an entire life to forget them.

Take the time .. to live and love.

You are blessed

A little boy was selling newspapers on the corner, the people were in
and out of the cold.

The little boy was so cold that he wasn't trying to sell many papers.

He walked up to a policeman and said, "Mister, you wouldn't happen to
know where a poor boy could
find a warm place to sleep tonight would you/?/

You see, I sleep in a box up around the corner there and down the
alley and it's awful cold in there for tonight.

Sure would be nice to have a warm place to stay."

The policeman looked down at the little boy and said, "You go down the
street to that big white house and you knock on the door. When they
come out the door you just say
John 3:16, and they will let you in."

So he did. He walked up the steps and knocked on the door, and a lady
answered. He looked up and said, "John 3:16." The lady said, "Come on
in, Son."

She took him in and she sat him down in a split bottom rocker in front
of a great big old fireplace, and she went off. The boy sat there for
a while and thought to himself: John 3:16...I don't understand it, but
it sure makes a cold boy warm.

Later she came back and asked him "Are you hungry*/?/*" He said,
"Well, just a little. I haven't eaten in a couple of days, and I guess
I could stand a little bit of food,"

The lady took him in the kitchen and sat him down to a table full of
wonderful food. He ate and ate until he couldn't eat any more. Then he
thought to himself: John 3:16...Boy, I sure don't understand it but it
sure makes a hungry boy full.

She took him upstairs to a bathroom to a huge bathtub filled with warm
water, and he sat there and soaked for a while. As he soaked, he
thought to himself: John 3:16... I sure don't understand it, but it
sure makes a dirty boy clean. You know, I've not had a bath, a real
bath, in my whole life. The only bath I ever had was when I stood in
front of that big old fire hydrant as they flushed it out.

The lady came in and got him. She took him to a room, tucked him into
a big old feather bed, pulled the covers up around his neck, kissed
him goodnight and turned out the lights. As he lay in the darkness and
looked out the window at the snow coming down on that cold night, he
thought to himself: John 3:16...I don't understand it but it sure
makes a tired boy rested.

The next morning the lady came back up and took him down again to that
same big table full of food. After he ate, she took him back to that
same big old split bottom rocker in front of the fireplace and picked
up a big old Bible.

She sat down in front of him and looked into his young face. "Do you
understand John 3:16*/?/*" she asked gently. He replied, "No, Ma'am, I
don't. The first time I ever heard it was last night when the
policeman told me to use it,"

She opened the *_Bible_* to John 3:16 and began to explain to him
about Jesus. Right there, in front of that big old fireplace, he gave
his heart and life to Jesus.

He sat there and thought: John 3:16 -- I don't understand it, but it
sure makes a lost boy feel safe.

You know, I have to confess I don't understand it either, how *_God_*
was willing to send His Son to die for me, and how Jesus would agree
to do such a thing. I don't understand the agony of the Father and
every angel in heaven as they watched Jesus suffer and die. I don't
understand the intense love for _ME_ that kept *_Jesus_* on the cross
till the end. I don't understand it, but it sure does make life worth
living.

FAMILY - A very true reflection

F A M I L Y

I ran into a stranger as he passed by,
"Oh excuse me please" was my reply.

He said, "Please excuse me too;
I wasn't watching for you."

We were very polite, this stranger and I.
We went on our way and we said goodbye.

But at home a different story is told,
How we treat our loved ones, young and old.

Later that day, cooking the evening meal,
My son stood beside me very still.

When I turned, I nearly knocked him down.
"Move out of the way," I said with a frown.

He walked away, his little heart broken.
I didn't realize how harshly I'd spoken.

While I lay awake in bed,
God's still small voice came to me and said,

"While dealing with a stranger,
common courtesy you use,
but the family you love, you seem to abuse.

Go and look on the kitchen floor,
You'll find some flowers there by the door.

Those are the flowers he brought for you.
He picked them himself: pink, yellow and blue.

He stood very quietly not to spoil the surprise,
you never saw the tears that filled his little eyes."

By this time, I felt very small,
And now my tears began to fall.

I quietly went and knelt by his bed;
"Wake up, little one, wake up," I said.

"Are these the flowers you picked for me?"
He smiled, "I found 'em, out by the tree.

I picked 'em because they're pretty like you.
I knew you'd like 'em, especially the blue ."

I said, "Son, I'm very sorry for the way I acted today;
I shouldn't have yelled at you that way."
He said, "Oh, Mom, that's okay.
I love you anyway."

I said, "Son, I love you too,
and I do like the flowers, especially the blue."

FAMILY
Are you aware that if we died tomorrow, the company
that we are working for could easily replace us in
a matter of days.
But the family we left behind will feel the loss
for the rest of their lives.

And come to think of it, we pour ourselves more
into work than into our own family,
an unwise investment indeed,
don't you think?
So what is behind the story?

Do you know what the word FAMILY means?
FAMILY = ( F )ATHER ( A )ND ( M)OTHER ( I ) ( L )OVE ( Y )OU
